ProfileMaker 5.0.8 Editor™ edits profiles or fine tunes the ICC profiles you’ve created working with lightness, contrast, saturation, white point or gradation curves.

ProfileMaker 5.0.8 Editor provides the most comprehensive set of tools to accurately and precisely fine tune your ICC profiles

ProfileEditor

With ProfileEditor you can edit, check and convert ICC profiles and profile combinations. ICC profiles can be saved as Photoshop tables and Gray profiles. Not only RGB, CMYK but also MultiColor profiles can be postlinearized easily. Apart from the editing of Profile/ Workflow White Point and Black Point, ProfileEditor also supports the correcting of MultiColor profiles (up to 10 colour channels). All the corrections can be tracked on a true colour Test Image.

You can use the Colour Space Display to visually evaluate various ICC profiles in 2D and 3D displays. Individual colours, such as spot colours, can be compared with the profile colour spaces of various input and output systems using 2D Spot ColorChecker. This will tell you, for example, whether the desired spot colour can be produced in the colour space of a defined output system or not.

However, despite the simple and intuitive features of ProfileEditor, there should be no mistake that a thorough grounding in the manipulation of colour spaces, colour conversion modes and profile structures is imperative in order to assure constructive editing and proper control of ICC profiles.

Profile Editor Functions
• Summary display of your entire Profile Workflow in the ProfileEditor main window.
• Subsequent, manual corrections to ICC profiles for Gray, RGB, CMY, CMYK and MultiColor (up to 8 color channels) device colour spaces.
• Corrections may be made globally or selectively both to the gradation curves and the gray balance.
• The current correction can be evaluated in true colour on an individual test image. You can also simulate the monitor display in Photoshop.
• The profile white point of each ICC profile and the calculated output white point can both be modified.
• Edited CMYK profiles can also be saved as Gray Profiles and Photoshop® Separation Tables.
• Changes to profiles must be explicit and can only be made for certain directions in the profile and specified Rendering Intents.
• All relevant profile entries can be displayed and modified. Similarly, additional private user information can also be entered in the ICC profile.
• ICC profiles may be graphically visualized optionally in 2D or 3D coluor space.
• Individually defined or measured colours, such as spot colours can be shown in 2D display with Spot ColorChecker and then compared with the colour spaces of various input and output systems. A Linearization Chart created with Testchart Generator in MeasureTool and the Post-linearization function simplify the post-linearization of RGB, CMYK and MultiColor output files without having to calculate a completely new colour profile. This is useful, for example, if the mapping behavior of a colour printer has changed slightly.
• All editing operations can be combined in any sequence with all other editing operations, and can be activated or deactivated.
• All Edits can be saved and re-applied later to other profiles.

ProfileMaker 5.0.8 Editor module requires a ProfileMaker 5.0.8 dongle for it to operate. If you do not already have a PM5 dongle you will need to add this to your shopping basket
